- A good performance. - The actor needs to be putting in full effort into their performance for the video to look realistic and make an impact on the audience. They need to be performing with their whole body and not just moving their mouth to the lyrics of the song.
- A good lip sync. - The actor needs to know the song in order to give a good lip sync. The song will need to be played whilst filming so that the actor can sing along in order for the lip sync to turn out well.
- Editing to the beats of the music. - Editing that matches the beats of the music creates an interesting watch for the audience. Fast editing will also make the video look a lot better.
- A range of costumes. - In order for the music video not to become repetitive the costume will need to change. A range of costumes creates a more dynamic watch for the audience
